Add whimsy to your home and share the joyful moments pets bring to our lives with artist Lorena Pugh’s beautiful prints

Lorena Pugh

Purebred Editions began because of Lucy, my sweet and beautiful Golden Retriever. Every day I had her, we played at the beach, walked among the shops, and enjoyed being young and free together.

She was absolutely perfect, despite her one
dangerous addiction: tennis balls. I could try to play fetch with her, but throw a tennis ball and I’d never get it back.

I painted her portrait featuring a tennis ball, called Persistence, and hung it for the world to see. From there, I fell in love with painting all sorts of dogs, from my beloved Lucy to labradors to everything in between – and even a stray cat here and there.

I’ve been a lifelong painter, and an animal lover for even longer. It was a true joy to bring them together with this print series.

These prints and paintings have won many esteemed national and international awards, which I am grateful for, but much more importantly, they have brought happiness into the homes of people who know that animals are people too.
